"I have known Dr. Ana González Abril for seven years, first as a student of the master of Biotechnology of the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain), where she obtained quite high qualifications and got acquainted with Biotechnology by developing and end-of-Master experimental work entitled  “Taxonomic study of new isolated strains from condensed milk”, and obtaining an Excellent mark against the appropriate tribunal formed for that circumstance in the University of Santiago de Compostela. Dr. Ana González Abril then started the experimental work in my research group where she helped to create an excellent comradeship with the rest of scientists integrated in the group. After 3 years of hard work, she managed to identify and create new microbial taxons specifically associated with spoiled condensed milk; this work has been published in the appropriate international journal. Simultaneously Dr. Ana González Abril carried out a pre-doctoral leave at the University of Georgetown at Lombardi Center with Professor Vicente Notario. There she left also good memory as a dedicated researcher; The Scientific production crystallized in publications by Springer Editorial in the book entitled "Horizontal gene transfer".
Her final presentation in order to obtain the Ph.D. degree was in Biology and obtained the highest degree as Excellent with honors. Her dissertation was “Identification and characterization of dairy products spoiling
microorganism and searching of peptide biomarkers by LC-ESI MS-MS”.
Actually Dr. AnaGonzález Abril is applying for postdoctoral positions abroad. I have no doubt that no matter in what laboratory she is finally integrated, she shall do a great job both scientifically and as far as her relationships with the rest of the research team."
